The inspiration behind this tee plays on both the selfless service of a soldier and the heart of a servant in the Christian faith. In the time of Jesus he preach that if a man asks you to walk a mile with him to walk two. This is in reference to a Roman law that stated a Roman soldier could tell you to walk a mile with him and carry his gear and you would be required to do that. My interpretation of what Jesus was saying is if a man asks you to help him for a mile go ahead and help him as long as he needs because you don't know the burden he has been carrying. I feel this is true for most soldiers as well. A soldier carries the responsibilities and the burdens of the country he serves as well as his fellow soldiers. And we all need someone to lean on from time to time.
